Who are we?
The history of the Coupet site and project
Perched at an altitude of 800 metres in the heart of the Haut-Jura, Le Coupet is steeped in centuries of history. A former farmhouse dating back to the 14th century, this forest estate was originally dedicated to timber harvesting, taking advantage of the richness of the surrounding forests.
Over the years, the site has undergone a metamorphosis: first as a vacation camp welcoming generations of children to discover the mountains, then as a stopoveraccommodation from 2009, offering refuge to hikers and nature lovers.
In 2021, we're taking over this historic heritage and giving it a new lease of life, preserving its authentic soul while bringing our modern vision of eco-responsible hospitality.
How the project came about
In 2021, we're asking ourselves a simple question: "What if we lived in contact with nature rather than in the city?"
With our 4-year-old daughter, we left the Paris region to settle in Les Crozets, in the Haut Jura, and buy the Domaine le Coupet.
"It all started with an awareness of the ecological emergency. I wasn't just a spectator of this crisis, I was an actor. My carbon footprint was heavy, my life very materialistic. I felt the urgent need to change, to rediscover pleasure in my work, to live more simply." - Christophe
When we discovered Le Coupet, with its spring and the possibility of heating with wood, it was obvious: this place steeped in history was perfect for this new life and for welcoming groups in search of authenticity.
"Three years on, I can say it was the right choice. I enjoy sitting in the evening in our clearing, listening to the sounds of the forest, watching the stars. Just as I love welcoming our guests and passing on my love of nature." - Christophe

Our frustrations have become our strength
Having both worked in tourism and traveled extensively, we knew the frustrations of vacation rentals by heart:
In group gîtes: we often found ourselves in impersonal houses, squeezed in between other rentals, woken up by traffic... And the worst part: being our own stewards. Planning menus, shopping, cooking for 15 people, organizing outings, managing logistics.
In hotels: it's practical for a weekend for two, but with a group or for a week, it feels cramped. There's no common space where you can really get together, and none of the warmth of a shared home.
We wanted to create the place we'd been looking for everywhere but never found: the authenticity of nature, the space of a real home, and the freedom to think of nothing but enjoying ourselves.
Coupet: our answer to these frustrations
At Coupet, we've created the home we all dreamed of, solving each of these frustrations:
✅ No more lack of service → Tailor-made catering with local produce, full concierge service, organized activities...
✅ No more impersonal decor → A home with soul, decorated with taste and authenticity
✅ No more intrusive neighbors → 12 hectares of unspoilt nature, just for you
✅ No more noisy roads → The silence of the forest and birdsong
✅ No more faulty connection → Professional Wifi AND disconnection chosen
✅ No more environmental impact → Clean source, wood heating from our forest, zero disposable plastic, selective sorting, eco-labeled products...
